development of different optical methods for determination of glucose using cadmium telluride quantum dots and silver nanoparticles
a simple, rapid and low-cost scanner spectroscopy method for the glucose determination by utilizing glucose oxidase and cdte/tga quantum dots as chromoionophore has been described. the detection was based on the combination of the glucose enzymatic reaction and the quenching effect of h2o2 on the cdte quantum dots (qds) photoluminescence.in this study glucose was determined by utilizing glucose...
Numerical methods for large eigenvalue problems
Over the past decade considerable progress has been made towards the numerical solution of large-scale eigenvalue problems, particularly for nonsymmetric matrices. Krylov methods and variants of subspace iteration have been improved to the point that problems of the order of several million variables can be solved. The methods and software that have led to these advances are surveyed.
متن کاملInexact Numerical Methods for Inverse Eigenvalue Problems
In this paper, we survey some of the latest development in using inexact Newton-like methods for solving inverse eigenvalue problems. These methods require the solutions of nonsymmetric and large linear systems. One can solve the approximate Jacobian equation by iterative methods. However, iterative methods usually oversolve the problem in the sense that they require far more (inner) iterations...
متن کاملNumerical Methods for Solving Inverse Eigenvalue Problems for Nonnegative Matrices
Presented are two related numerical methods, one for the inverse eigenvalue problem for nonnegative or stochastic matrices and another for the inverse eigenvalue problem for symmetric nonnegative matrices. The methods are iterative in nature and utilize alternating projection ideas. For the symmetric problem, the main computational component of each iteration is an eigenvalue-eigenvector decomp...
متن کاملOn Numerical Methods for Elliptic Transmission Eigenvalue Problems
The use of numerical tools to solve challenging problems in mathematics has exploded in the past several decades. The purpose of this paper is to compare the results of two different types of numerical methods in finding solutions to the eigenvalue problem for a second order elliptic partial differential equations (PDE) with boundary and transmission conditions. Transmission properties result f...
